These terms apply to My Academy Desk's “Refer an academy” offer, for academies using My Academy Desk.
An academy's owner opens Refer an academy in the app and sends a sign-up link to another academy from their own WhatsApp. When that academy signs up through the link, it is linked to the academy that referred it. An academy that signs up without a link can name the academy that referred it (its name or its owner's mobile number); My Academy Desk links it only when that points at one academy and no other. Each academy has one referrer.
When the new academy has been with My Academy Desk for the number of months shown on our pricing page (its free trial counts), it gets its welcome credit of credit and the academy that referred it gets its referral credit of credit. Both are given then, and only if the new academy's account has not been suspended or closed by then. Nothing is given at sign-up, and an academy that leaves before then earns nothing for either side.
An academy earns referral credit, for either side, only if it is new to My Academy Desk. If its owner (recognised by their mobile number) has had an academy on My Academy Desk before, including one that has left, one that was referred before, or another academy they already run, nobody gets credit for referring it. Such an academy can't be sent an invite.
There is no limit on how many academies you refer: each one that qualifies earns you another credit.
Credit comes off your next My Academy Desk bills. It is never paid out in cash, and it can't be exchanged for money. Credit does not expire while your account is active. If your account ends, because you leave My Academy Desk or it is closed, any credit you haven't used expires.
The name and mobile number you type are used only to make the link you send and to show you your invites. My Academy Desk never messages that number. The number is removed once the academy signs up, and an invite nobody uses is deleted once it is more than 90 days old, in our routine clean-up. If someone typed your number and you want it removed, write to itzsskai@gmail.com. More is in our privacy policy.
We may refuse or reverse (take back) referral credit that comes from misuse, and stop an academy taking part in referrals. Misuse includes referring your own academy or one you own or control, setting up an academy only to earn credit, creating more than one account for the same owner, and giving false details. If we refuse or reverse credit, we will tell you.
My Academy Desk may change the amounts or the number of months for referrals made after the change is shown on this page. Credit already given keeps its amount.
These referral terms form part of the My Academy Desk Terms and Conditions. If the two ever disagree about referral credit, these referral terms apply.
